[ at least eddie isn't alone, even if he's intending on wallowing for at least a bit over steve. he has a good amount of friends who will come spend time with him, some of who he'll allow to drag him out of the house without a fuss. and apparently steve will be fine. so, there's that.

none of that is really enough to alleviate the pain currently, but that's okay. he can deal with it, he's pretty confident. more naps will certainly help.

he's really expecting just a chuckle or tease back or something before this call comes to natural end, so his head cants at that request, the tone it comes in. ] Uh. [ reflexively, a delay as he considers.

happy to have an answer for it, just takes him a few seconds. ] Like, 9? [ he doesn't know your schedule, wash, but his is...basically easy to guess as it currently stands. he settles for later, but not too late. 'night' has already been referenced: he's not getting up before noon unless someone forces him to, thanks.

he wouldn't have considered giving a time either. his time is structured around working hours, but that's about it. his days are usually more fluid and what happens, happens. but it is something to look forward, he's realizing, chest and head a little lighter from that alone. ]

[ wash's schedule is flexible enough. ]

[ what was a mostly a gentle, light-hearted offer before now easing into something with more demand to it, letting more of that rumbling growl slide into his voice. just a hint of it under his words. entirely aware that it would probably not be too difficult to have eddie stumbling back into whatever quiet corner he'd found himself in for tonight and keep him there with promise after promise, but that's not his role here. for now, at least.

he is, on purpose, not at all specifying what ready for me means. mostly to see what eddie might imagine that entails. ]

[ eddie smiles, contented and faint sigh heard, brows lifting with that very vague but very noted expectation. not a harsh demand. from wash, it can only sound sexy, too. it's pretty clear that there's the nudge to ponder on what he means by being ready, and eddie sinks into that a bit, sighing softly again. ]

Easy peasy, then. [ something to think about, in longer moments spent sitting outside or in the shower, hanging out in yelena's living room, anywhere that isn't explicitly beside steve. another thread added to this successful variety of distraction, and hey, he genuinely wants to talk to wash more even if it's nonsexual. which, he's not planning on that being the case here, but something he thinks of regardless. ]

[ no pressing questions or curiosities, not this time. it goes against how he tends to be when he's speaking to wash, but he is tired. there's a light of what to look forward to the next time, a small window of time that he knows will be reserved for more than just being sad about steve.
