[Of all the things to focus on, of course that's what Eddie picks up on. It actually eases some of the awkwardness up, because at least Eddie, this Eddie, doesn't think him weird or gross or something. Of course he wouldn't when Steve thinks about it. They didn't really have the words for people like them, people that didn't really care about gender or liked them all. Of course, this is only about kissing. Relief floods through his body when he catches Steve teasing, spotting that for what it is. [Steve is still a little surprised how this turned out, but it does feel normal... as normal as something in this city can. Eddie's questions make sense given the gaps in his memory or whatever it was causing him to not remember the first time. Steve would want to know, too. It's a natural curiosity, and Steve's been open about everything else so far. He's not going to stop now.

So if this turns into something a little more intimate between them, he's going to go with it. His smirk slides further back on his face as Eddie confirms it, and he shifts forward to sit up instead of leaning on the head board. Sliding the pizza box out of the way, he moves so that one arm is on the other side of Eddie while he's still over him. Eyes look down at him just laying there on his bed, and there's a heat that he feels building now, too.

He doesn't respond verbally, he just leans over him to press his lips against his. They've only done this once before, but the electricity that shoots through him reminds him of the first time all over again, that sort of want that drives him further.]

[ Eddie wants to feel what it's like for Steve to kiss him, to kiss back. His thoughts don't go beyond that immediate urge, his wondering about being intimate with men as an unknown being set aside. He'll come back to a more nuanced train of thought later, focus on how Steve moves closer to him.

In that moment, he can't remember how long it's been since he's kissed someone, only that it's been awhile. The swirling desire building within him, he's confident he's never felt anything quite like it. Maybe it's because this feels so new, or maybe because it's Steve. His head spins, grip in Steve's hair tightening with urgency when he feels him pulling back. Eddie's caught in a mixture of disappointment and curiosity, smiling back when Steve only pulls so far, admiring that smirk.

A faint sound, snort more than anything else, registers with that. ] I'm not gonna regret feeding your ego, am I? Cause [ his face tilts up, brushing open lips against Steve's ] yeah, it's good. Really good. [ Part of him wants to say he can see what all the fuss over King Steve is, but the thought leaves his mind and is replaced by the awe over what he's really doing in that moment.

Eddie smirks too. ] Like, good. Everywhere. [ It comes out in a whisper, dirty talk not even a thought, just a light jut of his hips against Steve's again. He's not clamouring to stop or cool down, focused entirely on expressing to Steve how he's making him feel, not on what any next step is. ]

Questions for Steve start to pop up in his mind, ones about his experiences, what all he's done with guys. Eddie doesn't ask, yet, though. Who cares about being modern when he's modern for being from 1985.]

[ Eddie smiles, smug and delighted, as he shifts to start flipping through the records. ] I'm sure you're just fine. [ It comes out breathy as fingertips gingerly process through the options, no pomp over any that are ones he clearly wouldn't have picked out to buy. He'd been teasing, really, and while he is very adamant about what real music is, he'll be willing to put on whatever Steve might choose, too. After he picks first, of course!

His head tilts as his focus is drawn on the collection, eyes popping in awareness when he gets to one of his records. After a minute, he slips one out, holding it toward Steve. ] You're taking good care of them, and music is best enjoyed shared. [ And he moves up, ready to take it upon himself to get the album up and playing.

He eyes the record player carefully, head tilting again in curiosity. It's just, new to him, and he's always been an inquisitive person. ] You'll like this -- [ a beat, a lift of the arm and setting it back down over the vinyl, moving to turn the player on ] I think. [ He laughs a little, slipping the needle to the appropriate line for the track he wants to have played.

Settling back down, sitting close to Steve, he meets his eyes. He speaks over the intro, the guitar music. ] It's Sacred Heart. By Dio. Always did like the lyrics. Just, let me know what you think? [ He's sitting cross-legged, nudging a knee over to gently touch Steve's knee or leg, whichever is easier access. He lets it linger there for a second before shifting back, a little closer now.

Eddie brings the album cover back into his hands, eyeing the mystical imagery on it. Unsurprising that he'd found this one while he was there before, now opting for a somewhat softer tune to match his overall mood and impression with the day's activities. It's a special day, one of self-discovery he didn't realize he'd even had in him. He doesn't want to drift too far from Steve either, head bopping slightly with the music as he mouths the lyrics. ]

[Steve just watches Eddie like he’s a kid in a candy store. Steve’s not surprised. He likes music, because like who doesn’t, but this is clearly one of Eddie’s passions, and he’s glad that despite how shitty this place is, at least Eddie is here and getting to enjoy something. It might also feel nice that he’s able to give that to him.

So he just watches, recognizing the album cover, but not knowing the music at all. It was definitely something Eddie would be into. Steve sat back and listened. It was harder than what he was used to, but it was a good beat, though it certainly was the lyrics that captivated the song. And it was definitely even more of Eddie’s style. He smiles though, listening to the message, foot tapping along to it halfway through.

Eddie settles in closer, pressing his leg to his. He likes this part, too. He looks over at him, clearly in his element. Considering the last thing he saw in his nightmares this is much preferable.]

I’m glad you’re here. I know it’s still shit and all a lot of the time, but—- [Well he’s been pretty alone save her Nat and Yelena the last month, and he lost two people he cared about the month before that.]

[ Once music enters the equation, it's routine for Eddie to become lost in it. Steve's voice brings him back to the room, smile soft and pleased to hear that Steve Harrington is glad he's there. It's still a little surreal. It wasn't until his innocence hung in the balance that he'd become more than a freak to the elders of Dustin's extended friend group. And, it was Dustin that roped them all into helping Eddie. Still, he doesn't doubt any of Steve's sincerity of really being his friend there, the proof of that playing out.

His brows furrow a touch when Steve continues, trailing off and leaving Eddie staring over with several seconds of quiet concern. Considering, he smiles again, the expression leaning toward more of that winning Munson smirk. ] Me too. It'd be shit being alone. And I wouldn't wish being here on any of my friends. [ Gareth. Jeff. ] And it woulda been weird if Wheeler or Buckley were here. [ A beat, a blink. ] Not that I'd wish it on them either, I'm just...glad it's you. Steve.

[ And with only a couple seconds of pause, he leans over slow and to give time for Steve to move, shift, stop what's about to happen. His eyes lock and hold with Steve's until his face is close, shutting as he brushes his lips against Steve's. It's sweet and short, though not rushed and he hums low in his throat as he pulls back with eyes still shut until his back straightens again, warm smile for Steve. ] Not shit all the time, anyway.

[Steve might not have minded it if Robin or Nancy were here, but he would never actually want them there. He doesn't really want Eddie here, but he knows the alternative now, and because he's spent the better part of a year here alone, when Eddie does lean in to kiss him, it's hard to not react.

Steve isn't actually expecting him to lean in for a kiss, but it at least feels a little more natural right then. Eddie doesn't pull all the way back, and he grins over at him.]

[He leans in for another kiss, wanting more in that moment. If Eddie is giving, Steve is happy to do so. It's been awhile since something like this felt good and meaningful for him.]

[ Eddie hums happily, smiling sweet and sincerely at Steve's receptiveness. So that's where they are then. They like kissing each other, and maybe the more the better? Eddie thinks that may be the case, they'll have to see.

He deepens their second kiss, reaching to hold gently onto the side of Steve's face letting their lips hold together longer. [ He certainly wants Steve in his ears, his eyes, for the night, gaze drifting to the record player as he's swept up in that idea and how it could play out. ]

[Steve can definitely do the kissing part. He wouldn't even mind more. He just wants to make sure this is what they both want and not necessarily be pushed on because of the city or because Eddie felt like he had to. So whatever pace they're going at, he's okay with. It also just feels more normal given the weird situation they find themselves in.

Umm, yeah. Let me see. [He stands and shifts through his own collection before pulling out one of Prince's albums and puts on one of his songs, figuring to make it light. And can Eddie really talk shit about Prince? It feels like a safe choice as he sits back next to his friend.]

So, ugh, where were we? [The cheesiest line, maybe, but he does lean in to kiss Eddie again, because it is nice.]

[ His head tilts as he watches Steve pick out a record, brows lifting as the song starts to play. Yeah, Prince is classic. It's not a surprise that it's what Steve chooses, the music good, and there's all those innuendos just strewn throughout any of the artist's songs. It's a solid pick, and he smiles approvingly as he's joined again.

He almost chuckles, instead humming against Steve's lips. Contentment is joined by anticipation once more, head shaking a teeny bit, waves bouncing a little as he pulls back. Still stays close. ]

Where indeed. I dunno, man. You wanna get all...hot and bothered again? [ There's a daring tone even he's not expecting in his voice, small grin on his lips. ] 'Cause, I uh, well. So with a couple of seconds of silence and biting his bottom lip, he quickly adds -- ] I wanna see you. If you wanna show me. [ Cheesy line, maybe, but Steve and just being with him has Eddie's mind racing right back to what they maybe, might, could, do. ]

[Look, Steve gets it. He was already half hard the last time, and it took a lot to pull away, but he didn't want to go diving head first off some dare. This needs to be genuine, especially if it's Eddie's first time doing anything in the city. He doesn't want there to be any kind of mitigating circumstances putting pressure on either of them.

So Steve kisses him quickly, trying to reassure him that it's okay.] If this is something you want, I'm not going to say no. I just want to make sure like it's all cool. It's not something you're going to look back on and regret because the city fucking sucks. [He awkwardly bites on the inside of his cheek, thinking about the words to use.]

[ Eddie's forehead creases a touch with that quicker kiss, gut sinking for a second in expectancy of there being something wrong. Steve has done due diligence in affirming that everything is good, no boundaries being pushed. It only takes a second for the brief lock of their lips to click as those words register. It makes him start to smile, wry for a hint of a second at himself, crooked at the corner of his mouth as Steve goes on.

A new tightening in his stomach follows that 'whatever we do,' light and constant nod as he considers. He works his bottom lip with his teeth, the action seizing up as he watches Steve take his shirt off. ] Well that's, ah, good. A good start. A start of -- [ and his words fall off, realizing he's leaned in and thoughtlessly brought a hand up and onto Steve's chest, fingertips just below his collarbone. He breathes out, slow and not at all centering himself. He really doesn't have the words yet, liking how it feels to touch Steve, so he's left closing any distance to kiss him. Longer than Steve's reassuring one but not deep, just a way to occupy his mind for a few seconds.

It brings back remembering moments of starting and stopping, kissing and pressing in together, with Steve of all people, that day. He knows he wants more too, knew it when Steve had been on top of him in his bed.

He leans back, palm still pressing against Steve's skin. ] You're good. I'm good. And maybe most important, we're good. I know what I've regretted in life, Steve. And this isn't it. So, Steve. Thanks. For being cool. [ Thanks for the consideration of consent and checking in, but he's not equipped to say that so bluntly. ] I'm not used to, ya know, blunt moments like this. About, sex. [ Look he's being really vulnerable here, Steve, and the color rising on the otherwise extremely loud and proud metalhead's cheeks might be indicative of that.

He clears his throat, giving a small, intimate smile. ] But, uh, I...um, had an idea... [ a spare look away, a sharper little inhale; he doesn't think Steve's judgy or will say 'no' or anything; Eddie's sexual experiences haven't been chockful of coming out and saying what he might want. Kinda helps when one of his jobs is at the rec center, and there's a gym and a few different martial arts classes. Steve's not the best at it, but well, he'd like to not get punched in the face so often, though it still happens in the city, too.

It registers that Eddie's talking again, and he looks up with a genuine, little smile on his face.]

I know. I know it's new to like a lot of people, and I didn't want to push you into anything or make it like... less serious than it is. [If it's his first time with a guy, with Steve himself. All of that is important to him, but he's glad the both of them are on the same page, because right now he can feel the blood rushing to his cock when Eddie tells him he has an idea-- it's probably better than what Steve tends to come up with, so he's happy to go with it.

And he's even happier when Eddie pulls off his own shirt, moving in to kiss at his shoulder down to his clavicle before looking back up.]
